Software giant, Autodesk, has introduced a new service, Autodesk Live, that enables designers create a presentation model in Revit which is also easily editable and can be used on both PC and mobile.
When compared to typical presentation models, this has a lot of improvements including the ability to edit BIM information directly on the presentation model.
Major features of this service include:
Major features of this service include:
1. Live virtual tour and walkaround of a building model, giving a human eye view of the model when presenting to clients. With this, the user is practically walked through the building in a way that seems as if he/she is actually there.
2. Quick change implementation: Without opening the main BIM model again in Revit, changes can be made in the presentation model which will also apply to the BIM model, making it easy to test changes in real time.
3. Its cloud based model ensures that users can create a model that is light enough to navigate quickly as a presentation model while also detailed enough to be a BIM model. Being cloud based ensures that the quality of the model is not affected by the capability (or lack of) of the device being used.
4. Shade patterns created by the building over the course of the day and seasons, based on the relative position of the sun can also be observed to see how natural lighting reaches the building.
